The conference will be proceeded by technical workshops on Monday, December 14, 2015. The CDC is recognized as the premier scientific and engineering conference dedicated to the advancement of the theory and practice of systems and control. The CDC annually brings together an international community of researchers and practitioners in the field of automatic control to discuss new research results, perspectives on future developments, and innovative applications relevant to decision making, systems and control, and related areas. The 54th CDC will feature contributed and invited papers, as well as workshops and may include tutorial sessions. 1The IEEE CDC is hosted by the IEEE Control Systems Society ( CSS ) in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics ( SIAM ), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences ( INFORMS ), the Japanese Society for Instrument and Control Engineers ( SICE ), and the European Control Association ( EUCA ). Osaka is the center of the second largest metropolitan area in Japan, formed together with the nearby cities Kobe and Kyoto. The conference venue is located at the heart of the city on the island Nakanoshima. Many tourist sites such as Osaka Castle, the vibrant business and entertainment districts of Umeda and Namba, as well as the Bay Area with various museums and shops can be reached conveniently. To appreciate the historical treasures of Japan, tours can be made to the ancient capitals of Kyoto and Nara, where you may visit temples and shrines from over one thousand years ago. Yoshito Ohta Kyoto University General Chair Mitsuji Sampei Tokyo Institute of Technology Program Chair CDC 2015 Submission and Registration Policies All papers submitted to the CDC 2015, whether for review or publication upon acceptance, must be written in English and formatted in the standard 2-column format provided on PaperPlaza . We suggest that you use Firefox or Chrome instead of Internet Explorer, to prevent copyright upload issues to IEEE.For the purpose of "review", all regular and invited papers are limited to eight (8) pages. PaperPlaza will not permit longer papers to be uploaded. The decision regarding the acceptance of each paper is at the discretion of the conference’s Technical Program Committee. For "publication" in the conference proceedings, all accepted and invited papers are limited to six (6) pages. Authors may upload longer manuscript up to a maximum of eight (8) pages total. However, each page in excess of six will incur an additional charge of 20,000 JPY. If the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors listed on the paper must attend the conference and present the paper according to the scheduling decided by the conference’s Technical Program Committee. In the event that the presenter is unable to attend the conference for any reason, it is his/her responsibility to insure that the paper is presented by a qualified colleague. At least one of the authors listed on the paper must register for the CDC 2015 to upload the final manuscript. Student registrants may upload one final paper. Regular registrants may upload up to three final papers. Additional papers can be uploaded for 24,000 JPY each. All submissions will be tested for similarity and overlap with prior published material using the iThenticate tool. Results of such overlap will be made available to the Program Committee for evaluation.
